Big Cedar Lodge Itinerary

Fall camping in the Ozarks just hits different.

Just a short three miles from the heart of Big Cedar Lodge, nestled in the trees off the shores of Table Rock Lake, Camp Long Creek offers a unique outdoor experience for all ages.

Day One

4:00 PM: Arrive at Camp Long Creek, check in to your accommodation, and discover all of our amenities!

5:30 PM: Take time for a stroll around the property to familiarize yourself with the location of our infinity pool, The Canteen at Camp Long Creek (where you can find delicious food served from a vintage Airstream camper), our dog park, and Long Creek Marina – your access to Table Rock Lake, where you’ll find our fleet of current model year boats, proudly made available by White River Marine Group. If you’re interested in renting a boat for your fall fishing adventure, now is a great time to make your reservations – or book online in advance.

Make sure and keep your wristbands as you may need them to take advantage of amenities and activities at Big Cedar Lodge.   

Pro Tip: Give our In-Room Dining team a call before 4:00 pm to order grill baskets (page 4 of the dining menu) to cook at your campsite! With options from steaks and kabobs to classic burgers and hotdogs, we have great options for everyone!

4:30 PM: After you’ve settled into your cabin or glamping tent, stock up your mini fridge with additional snacks and beverages from Long Creek Marina, and grab a cozy sweatshirt for cool evenings around the campfire.

6:30 PM: Dinner under the stars! Take advantage of the convenient gas grills located near each cabin, or embrace the warmth of an open fire to grill dinner. Order your grill basket from our in-room dining team with all your favorites. Don’t forget your complimentary s’mores kits for dessert!

AFTER DINNER: Enjoy time with your family and friends around the campfire, connecting in the great outdoors.

Pro Tip: Need more firewood? Reach out to the front desk and they can arrange for delivery. *Cut-off times may vary.

Day Two

8:30 AM: Order In-Room Dining, delivered directly to your accommodation. Offering a variety of delicious breakfast options, this is a must-stop before heading out on the lake.

9:30 AM: Grab your fishing and water gear and check-in at Long Creek Marina for your boat rental.

12:00 PM: Lunch! Head back to the marina for grab and go food, or hit up The Canteen again for a great selection of sandwiches.

3:00 PM: Grab the shuttle and head to Top of the Rock! Check-in at the Welcome Center for the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail tour – truly an unforgettable experience during the peak of fall season! 

4:30 PM: Following the Cave Trail experience, explore the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum (included with your Cave Trail ticket), located just below the Top of the Rock Pro Shop. 

After the museum experience, head over to Buffalo Bar for dinner and drinks. Featuring a vast stone patio overlooking Table Rock Lake, the sunset views here can’t be missed. 

AFTER DINNER: Take the shuttle back to Big Cedar and set out on a classic corn maze adventure with The Ozark’s Lost Soul Maze! This family-fun activity is rated PG and is sure to ignite laughter and a few friendly scares along the way!  

Pro Tip: The Maze is open 7 days a week, although times may vary. Make your reservations online to avoid any lines! Use the shuttle app to request a ride back to Camp Long Creek at your leisure.

Day Three

8:00 AM: Hop on a shuttle and make your way over to Devil’s Pool Restaurant for breakfast! 

10:00 AM: Take a short drive to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, a pristine, 10,000 acre nature preserve! Explore hiking and biking trails, or sink a line in for unforgettable fishing with family and friends. This midday experience is complete with an hors d’oeuvres style lunch including shrimp cocktail, wings, sliders, and mini desserts. 

Pro Tip: Make your reservations online in-advance for specialty tours and experiences at Dogwood Canyon.

12:00 PM: Grab lunch at the Mill & Canyon Grill located on property at Dogwood Canyon. We highly recommend the Bison Burger!

2:00 PM: After lunch, head back to Big Cedar property for some family fun at Fun Mountain! Featuring a full arcade, laser tag, and underwater themed bowling, there’s plenty of fun for everyone!

DINNER: Stick around for dinner at Uncle Buck’s at Fun Mountain, and while you’re there, check-out the additional Cedar Fest activities scheduled in Table Rock room at Fun Mountain.
