Big Cedar Lodge Itinerary

Summer vacation is one of the best times of the year, and Big Cedar Lodge has family fun for all ages.

Stay in one of our comfortable accommodations, enjoy bonfires, hop in the pool, check out Fun Mountain and more to make your summer unforgettable. Below, we have the ideal family itinerary for your three-day trip.

Day One

4:00 pm: Arrive at Big Cedar Lodge, check-in to your accommodation, and discover all of our amenities!

Pro Tip: Meet a member of our team and grab the Kids Adventure Passport, check-out the offerings at Fun Mountain, and explore our complimentary paddle boats and canoes from Bent Hook Marina.

5:00 pm: Settle into your accommodation and then head to our Big Bass Mini Golf course for a late afternoon round of putt-putt or a dip in one of the pools before grabbing some dinner. 

6:00 pm: Head out for an evening of family fun at Fun Mountain and dinner at Uncle Buck’s. 

Pro Tip: Challenge the family to a race around the go-cart track and a round of bowling in our one-of-a-kind underwater-themed bowling alley

7:30 pm: Enjoy the family bonfire, roast s’mores, and watch a movie on the Swimmin’ Hole lawn.

Before calling it a night, meander your way to Truman Cafe & Custard for dessert on the patio!

Lost Canyon Nature Trail

Day Two

8:00 am: Start your day at Devil’s Pool Restaurant for breakfast and coffee. 

9:30 am: Next, suit up, grab your sunscreen and head to the Bent Hook Marina & Market to stock up your cooler and hop on a boat for a day of fun on Table Rock Lake.

12:00 pm: Make an afternoon pitstop from the water at our sister property at Long Creek Marina for a quick lunch from The Canteen and to stock up on snacks and beverages.

5:30 pm: Head out for an evening at Top of the Rock and take off on an electric cart on the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail tour.

6:30 pm: Come face to face with prehistoric creatures, explore Civil War history and take in the largest most impressive collection of Native American artifacts in the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.  

7:30 pm: For dinner, dine on the patio of the Buffalo Bar or in the atrium at Osage Restaurant and enjoy picturesque views of Table rocks lake.

8:30 pm: Experience our evening Sunset Ceremony complete with the firing of the canon and a bag-piper.

Day Three

Breakfast: Rise and shine and make your way to Truman Cafe & Custard for coffee, breakfast bites, and smoothies.

9:00 AM: Take a short drive to Dogwood Canyon, our 10,000 acre nature park for horseback riding, hiking, biking, and more!

Lunch: After a day of exploring, stop for lunch at the Dogwood Canyon Canyon Mill & Grill built right over Indian Creek.

Return to the resort and relax by the pool or snag one of our complimentary paddle boats or canoes at Bent Hook Marina.

4:00 PM: Check the kids into the Kids Adventure Club at Fun Mountain for a fun-filled themed adventure with our activities staff.

Pro Tip: While the kids are occupied, Mom & Dad can sneak off for late afternoon massages and relax by the grotto in our world-class Cedar Creek Spa

6:30 PM: Enjoy dinner & drinks at Buzzard Bar just before picking the kids up from the Kid’s Adventure Club at 8 PM.

8:30 PM: Meet on the Swimmin’ Hole Lawn for one last family adventure before the night is complete.  Race around Big Cedar to find the clues and the final prize in our Blacklight Scavenger Hunt!
