HOLE-BY-HOLE

As you prepare to experience the splendor that is Big Cedar Golf, take a hole-by-hole tour to get a taste of the courses that make up America’s Nature Golf Destination.

PV1-150x150.jpg

Hole 1 · Par 4

Take in the views of the Ozark Mountains on this long downhill par 4. Keep your tee shot left to avoid the large bunker along the right side of the fairways. This green slopes away from left to right with multiple bunkers short of the green.

PV1-150x150.jpg
PV2-150x150.jpg

Hole 2 · Par 3

A brute on the scorecard, but this long par 3 plays drastically downhill. Adjust your yardages to account for the change in elevation. A large ridge runs down the middle of the green with the left side serving as the high side.

Hole 3 · Par 4

This drivable par 4 gives you multiple options off the tee. Hitting driver could give you a great look at birdie, but it will also bring the bunkers short of the green into play. The wide fairway offers plenty of room for a safe layup shot and easy short iron or wedge into the green.

Hole 4 · Par 5

Keep your tee shot on the right side of the fairway for the best opportunity to get home in two on this risk-reward par 5. This relatively small green is heavily protected by a creek and lake in front of the green with bunkers on the short and left side.

Hole 5 · Par 3

This eye-catching peninsula green requires a solid iron shot to stay dry. The only safe miss is left of the green. The putting surface is sloped with a high central mound feeding the ball away from the center of the green. Enjoy the views as you take the cart bridge across the lake.

Hole 6 · Par 4

Favor the right side on your tee shot as bunkers protect the left side of the fairway on this par 4. A right-sided approach will also give you the best angle into the green which is guarded by a large bunker on the left side with plenty of room to miss on the right.

Hole 7 · Par 4

This uphill par 4 has a generous fairway with a large natural limestone formation on the right. Aim just right of the middle fairway bunker to hit the widest part of the landing area. The elevated green slopes from back to front with a dangerous false front on the left side.

Hole 8 · Par 5

The 8th is a par 5 with multiple fairway bunkers both left and right. Keep your tee shot left and safely away from the trees on the right to give yourself a clear shot at the green. The long and narrow green angles back from left to right with a high mound on the back part of the green.

Hole 9 · Par 4

This par 4 angles to the right beyond the right-side fairway bunker. Hug your tee shot as close to that bunker as possible for the best approach into the green. A miss left of the green will create a challenging up-and-down.

Hole 10 · Par 3

Don’t get distracted by the waterfalls in the background! This downhill par 3 features a heart-shaped green with plenty of trouble on all sides. A flowing creek off to the right feeds into a large pond to the left of the green with additional cascading falls and a bunker beyond the hole.

Hole 11 · Par 4

Split the bunkers on your tee shot at the 11th, but favoring the right side will give you the best look at the green. Keep your approach shot safe by aiming on the right side of the green to avoid the deep bunker on the left.

Hole 12 · Par 4

The fairway on this short par 4 slopes heavily to the left side. To reach the green on your tee shot, aim over the left edge of the right fairway bunker and watch your ball feed down towards the putting surface, or target a safe layup spot away from the fairway bunkers.

Hole 13 · Par 5

This long and daunting par 5 plays all uphill, but the generous fairway gives you plenty of room to navigate your way towards the green. On your approach shot, a well-positioned bunker protects the right side of the green. The green complex offers you ample room to miss left.

Hole 14 · Par 4

The 14th is a par 4 with fairway bunkers in play along the right side. Hitting your tee shot too far left will make for a difficult approach shot to a narrow and long green. A bunker and heavy rough sit directly next to the green on the left side.

Hole 15 · Par 4

Hitting a good drive is required to give yourself a look at the green on this long uphill par 4. Avoid the fairway bunkers and favor the right side. The deep and narrow green is protected by bunkers on both sides with a highly positioned bailout area on the short left side.

Hole 16 · Par 3

This long par 3 plays downhill. It may be intimidating from the tee box, but the large green provides plenty of landing space with additional room right of the green for a safe miss. Avoid the left side to stay out of the heavy rough, deep bunker, and the lake.

Hole 17 · Par 4

Two center-line bunkers in the fairway split the hole between the low left side and the high right side. Staying left gives you a shorter distance to the hole, but the right side of the fairway gives you an elevated look to the green without having to carry the greenside bunkers on your approach.

Hole 18 · Par 5

This mighty par 5 plays right into “The Big Rock"… A well-hit tee shot on the right side of the bend in the fairway might give you a chance to go for the green, but bunkers on both sides and water on the backside of the green may convince you to lay up just short of the green for an easy pitch shot approach.
