Group Getaways at Big Cedar Lodge

Create a masterpiece with your teammates as our art instructor walks you through with step-by-step instruction in a fun, laid-back environment. No painting skills are required, and we’ll provide all the supplies needed. A Big Cedar Paint & Pour Apron and two bottles of beer or glasses of wine will be provided for each participant. This activity requires a minimum of 10 participants (maximum of 30) and has a two-hour time commitment.

Make your way across Big Cedar Lodge searching for treasure with your teammates. We’ll provide you with clues, and the first team to recover all the items wins! We offer the Pirate Treasure Scavenger Hunt, which takes place on pontoon boats, the Land Scavenger hunt and a Photo Scavenger Hunt. This activity requires a minimum of 10 or 15 participants and a one to two-hour time commitment.

In addition to Big Cedar’s rugged Ozark Mountain surroundings, our property is also home to manicured lawns, perfect for games that everyone can enjoy. For your group, select from high-energy games or yard pong, lawn balls, cornhole and oversized tic-tac-toe, checkers, Jenga, or connect four. This activity has a two-hour time commitment.

Catch a break between meetings and enjoy the outdoors for a brief stretch. We’ll provide you with music and guided stretching activities to invigorate your group for the activities ahead. This activity requires a minimum of six participants and lasts approximately 15-20 minutes.

Nothing bonds a group like a good ol’ fashioned rodeo. Strap on chaps and compete for braggin’ rights and prizes in a mechanical bull ridin’ rodeo. We’ll judge and score your competition and award the 1st and 2nd place winners with prizes. A cash bar is optional. Or, make it a Buck Off barbeque and indulge your group with a barbeque menu of mouthwatering foods prepared by Big Cedar’s Culinary Team.

Put your cooking skills to a test and spend an hour creating your best chili. We’ll provide each team with the same ingredients and judge your bowl of chili when you finish. This activity requires a minimum of 14 people and a 1.5-hour time commitment.

Treat your team to a whiskey tasting led by our very own expert from Top of the Rock’s Osage Restaurant Bar. Learn about the unique qualities of each offering as you enjoy the tasting. You will learn about the origins, history, and methods of production, as well as how to critically taste spirits. This activity requires a minimum of 10 participants, aged 21 and older, and a two-hour time commitment.

Channel your inner “Olympian” for our Big Cedar-style Olympics on the Swimmin’ Hole Lawn. We offer hillbilly horseshoes, outhouse toss, slingshots, spam carving, hula hoop and many other games that are guaranteed to have everyone laughing their way to the gold… all while sporting our redneck attire! Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the winning team. This activity requires a minimum of 15 participants and has a 1 to 1.5 hour time commitment (varies based on group size).
