Big Cedar Lodge Itinerary

Crackling Campfires invite families to reconnect in the great outdoors.

As the gentle fade of summer into fall creates a hustle of back-to-school schedules, Big Cedar Lodge invites you to find time to slow down and take in the beauty of a new season.

Day One

4:00 PM: Arrive at Big Cedar Lodge, check-in to your accommodation, and discover all of our amenities!

Stop by the Guest Services desk in the registration lobby to review all of the Cedar Fest activities and make any desired reservations.  

5:30 PM: After you’ve settled your belongings into your accommodation, stroll over to our Big Bass Mini Golf for a family-friendly round of putt-putt, or stop by The Shoppe to stock up on snacks, beverages, and the latest Big Cedar Lodge gear!

6:30 PM: Head over to Devil’s Pool Restaurant for dinner featuring our home-style cooking that both parents and kids will enjoy.

AFTER DINNER: A must-do during Fall at Big Cedar…make your way over to Swimmin’ Hole Lawn for s’mores around our Family Fun Campfires. 

Pro Tip: Campfires are hosted every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 7:30 PM. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Day Two

8:15 AM: Enjoy a morning walk to Truman Cafè & Custard for a casual breakfast featuring smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffees. 

Take in the fall beauty and the scents of leaves falling with a leisurely stroll around the property on our 5K trail. 

11:00 AM: Next up, head to the Fun Mountain for an afternoon of fun for the whole family! With a full arcade, ropes course, go-carts and underwater-themed bowling, there’s plenty of action. 

12:00 PM: Lunch! Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl & Grill located inside Fun Mountain, offers a variety of classic staples including wings, burgers, salads, and more. You can even order a pizza during your game of bowling, delivered right to your lane! (We recommend the BBQ Brisket Pizza!) 

2:30 PM: Grab the shuttle and head to Top of the Rock! Check-in at the Welcome Center for the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail tour – truly an unforgettable experience during the peak of fall season! 

4:30 PM: Following the Cave Trail experience, explore the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum (included with your Cave Trail ticket), located just below the Top of the Rock Pro Shop.  

After the museum experience, head over to Buffalo Bar for dinner and drinks. Featuring a vast stone patio overlooking Table Rock Lake, the sunset views here can’t be missed.  

AFTER DINNER: Set out on a classic corn maze adventure with The Ozark’s Lost Soul Maze! This family-fun activity is rated PG and is sure to ignite laughter and a few friendly scares along the way!  

Pro Tip: The Maze is open 7 days a week, although times may vary. Make your reservations online to avoid any lines! 

Fall Tram Rides

Day Three

8:00 AM: Meander over to Devil’s Pool restaurant, but this time for breakfast! 

After you’ve had your fill, swing by The Shoppe (located next to registration) for Big Cedar favorites including cozy fleece sweatshirts, home décor, and some of our classic snacks and treats. 

11:30 AM: Take a short drive to Long Creek Marina for an unforgettable fall foliage cruise aboard our 62-foot luxury yacht, Lady Liberty. This midday and evening experience is complete with an hors d’oeuvres style lunch including shrimp cocktail, wings, sliders, and mini desserts.

Pro Tip: Make your reservations in advance for the Lady Liberty afternoon cruise as they sell-out quickly! 

3:00 PM: Before dinner, make time for Pumpkin Painting and other fall fun as part of the weekly Saturday Cedar Fest activities.  

5:30 PM: Round out your day with one of our favorite seasonal activities, our Fall Tram Rides! Hop aboard at Swimmin’ Hole Lawn for a fun ride out to a lake front site featuring a fall themed setup for photo opportunities and more.

6:30 PM: Enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at The Worman House Bistro. Featuring exquisite cuisine and hand-crafted cocktails, this is a must-dine location during your stay at Big Cedar Lodge. *We recommend to make your dining reservations early when booking your stay!

Pro Tip: After dinner, head back to Swimmin’ Hole Lawn for Family Movie Night. Offered every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. The snack bar opens at 8:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m 

Day Four

8:00 AM: Relax this morning! Give our in-room dining team a call for a delicious breakfast delivered to your accommodation.

9:30 AM: Take advantage of the countess beautiful scenes around property by booking your Family Portrait Session during your stay!

Pro Tip: Schedule your photos before any adventurous activities like go carts at Fun Mountain or a boat rental! 

11:00 AM: Stock up your cooler with snacks and beverages at Bent Hook Marina & Market before heading out on the lake with a boat rental. Proudly offering a full line-up of boats from White River Marine Group, guests may choose from fishing boats, Tahoe cruisers, or pontoons for a leisurely family excursion on the water.  

5:00 PM: After a day out on the water, use the Big Cedar Shuttle App to request a convenient pick-up for dinner! Head back up to Top of the Rock for the most breathtaking views on property while dining at Osage Restaurant.

Pro Tip: After dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, head downstairs to the Wine Cellar and take in the views overlooking the End of Trail Statue.
